Passengers traveling with China Airlines are welcome to bring:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-On Allowance

Each traveler on China Airlines in Economy Class and Premium Economy Class is permitted to bring one bag and one personal item, such as a laptop bag, handbag, or briefcase. Assistive devices and outerwear are not considered personal items. Passengers in Business Class are permitted to bring two bags.

All carry-on items must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you. You must be able to place your carry-on into the overhead storage without assistance. All carry-on bags must meet the following specifications:

Maximum Carry-on Luggage Dimensions: 22 x 14 x 9 in / 56 x 36 x 23 cm (length + width + height), with a maximum weight of Carry-on Luggage being 15 lb / 7 kg.

General Checked Baggage Allowance

For flights to and from the Americas, U.S., and Canadian territories:

Note:

The total of each bag's three dimensions must not exceed 62 inches (158 cm). The combined total of two bags' three dimensions must not exceed 107 inches (273 cm).

Excess Baggage Charges

Any luggage exceeding the checked baggage allowance will be subject to charges per kilogram, with fees starting as low as US$6.00 per kg depending on the travel zones. For more details, please refer to the zones 1 to 6 section on the China Airlines website for baggage exceeding information.
